Sue and I were great friends. I first met her when I worked at Grande Cache Elementary. She was excellent working with the staff and students. Her big smile put everyone at ease.
We both liked walking and hiking. We walked every week. We did many of the mountains for the Passport to the Peaks program.
Sue and Graham loved my dog. When I was away, they kindly looked after him. Invariably, he came back with more toys than I took. He was spoiled!
Sue's cheerful and positive nature and kindness drew people to her. She will be missed.
I send condolences to all of the family.

My sincere condolences in the loss of your beloved Sue. I remember Sue for her beautiful smile and our walks around the track when we met up. Her outgoing friendly personality and volunteering around Bridgetown will not be forgotten. The service was beautiful and a true testament of the person she was.

We met Sue and Graham while visiting Shirley and Bryan in Bridgetown, and they were a delightful couple indeed.
We enjoyed talking to them and felt like we’d known them for years. Sue’s smile and contagious laugh are what comes to mind when I think of her, and we send our deepest condolences to Graham and his daughters and family in this great loss. Sending prayers for comfort and peace.

Thinking of Sue and the impact she made on our community in the time she lived here is amazing! Her radiant smile and joyful spirit were contagious and we loved her for it.
She and Graham moved into our neighbourhood on South Street and became not only neighbours but dear friends, and we celebrated some birthdays, meals and special events over the years. Sue was a wonderful hostess, and talented cook, and always made her guests feel welcome. Sue volunteered at Foodbank and after encouraging me to join, we used to walk there together, and I loved Sue’s enthusiasm and her kindness to anyone in need; always willing to go the extra mile. We usually went thrift shopping after Foodbank and loved finding a treasure at a bargain :) Sue loved her gardens. They were beautiful, and she would share her knowledge freely, whenever she was asked. Sue loved her family dearly, and was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. ❤️
Graham, Chas, Amber, Lauren and family, Bryan and I send our deepest condolences in the passing of your beloved Sue. God bless you all and bring comfort and peace.♥️

The last visit with Auntie Susan was when
Hailey and I drove to Grande Cache to celebrate both Chas and Ambers weddings and to spend much needed time with family.I will always remember driving up to the house and there standing at their front door...Auntie Susan with her arms wide open and her beautiful radiant smile that filled your heart with love. She had a special touch when you were in her presence you felt loved and important to her. A beautiful and amazing lady with a selfless heart of gold.
A trip full of so much love, laughter, and smiles. Priceless memories.
I pray God will wrap his strong, and loving arms around ALL of you touching each heart with love, comfort and peace as only HE can during this devastating time of broken hearts.
With much Love and prayers
Tracy
Ps. I spoke with Hailey on Thursday to tell her Auntie Susan was on her journey to heaven. I asked Hailey to meet Auntie Susan at heavens gates with open arms (just as loving as she greeted us). Please give her the biggest hug from both of us as you welcome her home.

We knew Sue when she worked at the school. Always polite and pleasant answering the phone. For years Lauren and our son Kurtis were best buddies. Years later Amber and our son Ken started dating, then married in 2001.
We’ve been in their home and Sue was an excellent hostess. She always thought of others first.
We were sorry to see them move away, we are devastated with the loss and the hole her absence has made. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends left to mourn her passing.

Sue was the best friend you could ever have or need. We met in Grande Cache in 1974 when she first arrived in Canada and were close neighbours. During our friendship we spent many hours in each others company playing board games, cards, walking, oh how she loved to walk, me not so much, eating, drinking, mostly tea but the occasional wine. We also enjoyed several trips together to Edmonton and West Edmonton Mall, Sue was an expert shopper plus a couple of memorable trips to Jasper Park Lodge where we laughed together at the silliest things, Sue knew how to enjoy life. Thank you for your love and friendship, you were the closest I ever had to a sister. Your smile, your warmth, your generous heart and spirit, I will never forget you, God Bless and Keep you my dearest friend.
