Obituary of Edith May Tibbetts

Please share a memory of Edith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Edith Tibbetts, daughter of Arthur and Estella Frail (Ring) has entered into the kingdom of heaven, into eternal rest.

Our dear mother, loved by all and known to many as a kind, caring and a beautiful soul will be missed.

Surviving are daughter, Kathy Tibbetts (Clinton Colp), PEI; son, Steven, Bedford; daughter, Penny Ross (Ron Ross), Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Michael, Patrick, Lisa, Crystal and Julie; as well as several great grandchildren; sister, Ilene  Myers; brother, Lewie Frail (Brenda Frail); several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; daughter, Becky; sons, Harold Jr., Larry and Michael; sister, Maxine; brothers, Kenny, Randall, and Gerald.

Edith worked as a custodian for the Halifax School Board, retiring after 17 years, where she made many long lasting friendships. She was a dedicated hard worker. She tackled many physically demanding jobs, giving her the nickname “Mighty Mouse”. Mom was not only a hard worker and devoted mom but a true friends as well.

She enjoyed a good challenging game of scrabble or Skip-bo and loved doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She also loved baking for family and friends. Her favorite time of the year was springtime, when she could plant her favorite flowers, sweet peas.

Dear mom, it is your time to reunite with dad and our siblings in heaven. Until we meet again, you will be forever in our hearts.

Resting at Kaulbach Family Funeral Home in Annapolis Royal, visitation will be held 6-8pm Monday. A service will be held at the Clementsvale Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Rick Warner and Pastor Mark Cress, 10:00am, Tuesday December 12, 2023. Burial will be at the Clementsvale Baptist Cemetery. Reception to follow at the church hall. Many thanks are extended to Dr. Christopher Stone, the VON nurses, palliative care and her church family that she loved so much. Thanks to all the paramedics that came to our rescue so many times with so much compassion and gave mom the dignity she so deserved.

Donations can be made to the Clementsvale Baptist Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Cancer Society.
