Obituary of Mervin Ross Ough
Ough, Mervin Ross – 95, of Clarence, Annapolis County, passed away November 13, 2023, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Toronto, he was one of thirteen children, born to the late Mervin Sr. and Eva (Bowles) Ough. He worked in Toronto, until his retirement from the Liquor Control Board; moving to Nova Scotia in 1989. He enjoyed his home in Clarence, the gardens and the apple trees; he loved to listen to music; some might have said “a little too loud”. Mervin was a man who spoke his mind. In 2020, his life changed, losing the love of his life, Dorothy. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly (Michael) Taylor, Bridgetown; sons, James (Kathy), BC and Robert (Sheila), ON; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife, Dorothy Betty Margaret (Simmons); daughter, Linda Roberta McLean. Visitation will be held 7-9pm Thursday, with a funeral service held 11:00 am, Friday, November 17, both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown, with Pastor Steven Hopper officiating.
