Wood, Ellen Leta - 75, of Bridgetown, formerly of Port Lorne, passed away peacefully May 25, 2012, in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born on July 31, 1936, at home in Port Lorne, she was a daughter of the late Hantford and Nellie (Cottrell) Lewis. Among Leta's favorite things were her great-grandchildren, family, friends, reading the bible, taking pictures and butterflies. She enjoyed a game of bingo and Spelling Bee's. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her sons, George (Mickey), Calgary and Hugh (Lindsey), Bridgetown; daughter, Frances (Mrs. Brian Hannam), Dalhousie; grandchildren, Tracy and Matthew Hannam; great-greatdchildren, Deanna and Kendra Bent; step-grandchildren, Christien Lomax (Rhonda), Melanie (Mrs. Travis MacDonald), Colleen Wood, Wanda Sweeney; step great-grandchildren, Isobel Lomax, Madison, Kelton and Ava MacDonald, Salena Wood, Dameon and Annie-May Sweeney, Izabella Hannam; sisters, Vivian (Mrs. Dick Johnson) and Connie (Mrs. Claude Sabean); several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, husband, William "Bill" Wood; brothers, Francis, Douglas, Ivan and Vincent; sister, Daisy (Mrs. Charles Kimball); great-granddaughter, Willow Scott-Hannam. Visitation will be 7 -9 pm Tuesday in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held 2pm, Wednesday May 30, 2012, also from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown with Rev. Dr. George P. Allen officiating, burial will follow in Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne. Donations in memory may be sent to a charity of choice.
