Please share a memory of Michael 'Al' to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

MacNeil, Michael Allison “Al”

Born February 16, 1945 – Died October 18, 2023

I am pleased to be able to write my own obituary and blessed to have you read it.

My mother was Mary Matilda Gale from Millville, N.L., she married my father Alexander Rory MacNeil from Iona, N.S. on July 30, 1940. They were blessed with four sons and three daughters; Sandy, Allison, Freddie and Arthur. The girls are Irene, Rosemarie, Joan.

Father died in 1983 (1909-1983), Mom remarried to Cyril McNeil, which added to the siblings, 7 more children. 14 in all.

I have two children from my first marriage Michael Richard MacNeil (12-8-67) and my daughter Eleanor Pauline MacNeil (2-27-71) both have moved to Prince Edward Island from London Ontario in 1976. They in turn have a son each, Cody and Brandon. My first wife was Gladys Barlow MacNeil (died 2012)

After a number of years since the divorce, I fell in love again in 2001 to Pamela Joyce McCaul, we married in July of 2002, and divorced in 2005.

My interest included, the Canadian Cancer Society, 3 years; the Board of Governors, Fanshaw College, London, Ontario; Masonic Order, 3rd degree M.M. Port Hill, PEI; Village Commoner, New Minas, and Bridgetown.

A visitation will be held 1pm Saturday October 21, 2023, until service time at 2pm, both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown, with Rev. Dr. Steven Hopper officiating. Donations in memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made at www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
