Obituary of Dorothy Marie Gray

Gray, Dorothy Marie (Sulis), Smith’s Cove, has passed away, daughter of the late Edgar and Freda (Shaw) Sulis. She is survived by daughters Laurie (Andre` predeceased) Gagnon, Smith’s Cove, Margaret Gray (Tony Nadeau), Digby, Freda (Ken) Bond, Manitowaning, ON, son John Gray, brother Norman Sulis, British Columbia. Grandchildren Phillip, Caithlin, and Victoria Gagnon; Kyle, Emily, and Erica Bond and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husband John, sister Jean Polletta and son in law Andre Gagnon. She was a long-term president of Smith’s Cove Historical Society; Member, Deaconess, Choir member and Assistant Organist of the Smith’s Cove United Baptist Church. Secretary for the Bear River Lighthouse Preservation Society; Past President, and Secretary of Ladies Auxiliary Fire Department.  Dorothy cared greatly about her family and community. A funeral service will be held on July 20^th, 2023, at 2:00pm, in the Smith’s Cove United Baptist Church. Pastor Mark Cress will be officiating. Burial in Sulis Smith South Cemetery. Donations may be to Smith’s Cove United Baptist Church or to the Smith’s Cove Historical Society.
