Obituary of Joan Ruth Marshall

Marshall, Joan Ruth – 76, of Bridgetown, It is with great sadness the family announces her passing on April 14, 2023 in Valley Hospice, Kentville. Born March 6, 1947, in Kentville, She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ruth (Patterson) Greene.

Joan worked for most of her life at Mountain Lea Lodge, cooking for the residents and working as a dietary specialist. She was also a proud member of the Port Lorne Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time for enjoyed quilting, needle work and crocheting.

Joan is survived by her sons, Dave (Victoria), Aylesford, Scott, Middleton, Chris (Michelle) Marshall, Bridgetown; grandchildren, Lucas, Parker, Jorja, Ryan; brother, Arthur (Rose Marie) Greene, Lower Sackville, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd; brothers, Albert, William, Vincent.

Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held 12 noon followed by a service celebrating Joan’s life beginning at 1 pm Saturday April 22, 2023 both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown.  A private interment will take place in Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne, with a reception being held at Port Lorne Fire Hall. Family flowers only, donations in Joan’s memory may be made to Valley Hospice, Kentville.
