Munroe, Philip “Smudge”- 65, Annapolis Royal, passed away suddenly on February 13, 2023.  Born in Digby, raised in Victoria Beach, he was a son of the late Harry and May (Weir) Munroe.  Philip made a career of digging clams.  When he wasn’t on the beach, he could be found fishing, hunting, listening to a jam or enjoying tea with friends.  He was happiest when time was spent with his boys or grandchildren.  Philip will be sadly missed by care taker, Jeanette Wood; sister, Heather Sabean (David), Middleton; sons, Johnathan (Kayley), Annapolis Royal and Joseph (Megan), Calgary, AB; chosen grandchildren, Felix, Kensley, Nicole, Cory, Julius and Aerith.  He was predeceased by, brothers, Vernon and Donald; sister, Bonnie.  Visitation will be held at 1pm until the funeral service begins 2pm, Monday, February 20, 2023, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal.  Pastor Stephen Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Peace Cemetery, Victoria Beach.  Donations made in memory may be made towards funeral costs.
