Obituary of Donald Ralph Milne

Please share a memory of Donald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Milne, Donald ‘Donnie’ Ralph – age 88 of Granville Centre passed away December 29, 2022 at home. Donnie was the son of the late Ruth (Greene) and Laurie S. Milne, Kentville. He was a car salesman for many years and also bought and sold horses, ran trail rides, restored and showed antique tractors which he loved so much. CBC Land and Sea did a documentary on him about his tractors. He was a past member for the Annapolis Royal Lions Club and Annapolis Royal Volunteer Fire Department. He volunteered at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition for over 40 years. He loved to display his tractors on his lawn in summer for folks to enjoy and loved meeting all the people who would stop to see them.

He is survived by his wife Jean (Bent) of 68 years; daughters, Debra (Daryl) McGrath, Wanda (Doug) Bullerwell, Sandra Milne, and Donna ‘Charlie’ (Dave Bevin) Milne; close family friend, Anna Sarty (Gordon Rosen); grandchildren, Lynn (Sam) McLean, Geoff (Vandean) Bullerwell, Darren (Tracey) McGrath, Deanna McGrath-Brown, Kim (Chad) Cronin, Jaimie (Jamie) Rafuse, Keysto (Alyssa) Hamilton; great grandchildren, Trenten, Faith, Travis, Ashley, Olivia, Emily, Aiden, Rayne, Addison, and Marlowe; sisters, Ina Palmer, Dorothy Barron, and Carol Ann Milne Anthony.

He was predeceased by daughter, Tanya; brothers, Lonnie, Cal, Ronald, Gerry and Sam; sister, Shirley Fraser; sisters-in-law, Dot, Ann, Ruby, Phyllis, Pauline; brothers-in-law, Lorne Fraser, Ken Barron and Doug Anthony; step mother, Pauline Milne.

A service will be held 2pm Saturday January 14th, 2023 from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. Masks are required. Family welcomes everyone to gather for a time of fellowship following the service. Private family interment will take place in Wadeville Cemetery, Granville Centre.

Donnie believed that a single red rose could bring as much joy as a full bouquet, so in lieu of flowers we suggest you pass on a single red rose to someone special in your life. Donations in Donnie’s name can be made to Annapolis Valley Exhibition, Annapolis Royal Fire Department, or the charity of your choice.
