Ainsworth, Henry (Harry) died April 16, 2012 aged 92 . Henry was born in Liverpool, England and was educated at Waterloo Grammar School and Royal School of Mines. From 1939 to 1946 he was an officer in the Royal Artillery. He served in East Africa, Ceylon, India and Burma, where he is Mentioned in Dispatches. After the war, as a mining engineer, he managed mines for the United States Gypsum Co., in Canada, USA, and Jamaica. He was a Chartered Engineer in the UK and a Professional Engineer registered in Nova Scotia. He was married for 48 years to his beloved wife, Anne who died in 1997. He is survived his sister Kay Ainsworth (Llandudno, Wales), his son Ian (Gail) Toronto, and his daughter Carollyn Crewe ( Bradford) Truro, N.S., together with his five grandchildren, Jason, Elizabeth & Alicia Crewe, Georgia & Ben Ainsworth. He is also survived by his dear companion Joan Harrison of Annapolis Royal with whom his last few years where happily spent. Henry was a wonderful father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his loved ones. A family service will be held later in the tear.
