Obituary of Bruce William Morton
Morton, Bruce William – 66, Upper Granville passed away suddenly at home October 11, 2022. Born in Halifax, February 1, 1956, he was the son of the late Stanley and Muriel (Freud) Morton.
Bruce was a truck driver all his life. Working for different companies, hauling to many different places. He spent many years living in Newfoundland, before moving to the Annapolis Valley. Bruce was a social guy, who loved to be surround by many great friends. He enjoyed music, especially playing his guitar and having a cold beer. He also loved to play a good game of horse shoes or darts. Bruce was a good, kind man, who had a big heart. You could often find Bruce out in his yard, which he took great pride in.
Bruce is survived by his sons, Rodney Morton, of Grande Prairie, Alberta and Dawson Hicks-Morton, Bridgetown; daughter, Jessie Hicks, Fort McMurray, Alberta; his partner of many years, Anne Weir; brother, Dean Morton, Dartmouth. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Muriel Morton.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. A graveside service will be held 2pm Monday October 17, 2022, at Hillgrove Cemetery, Digby County.
