Wright, Marjorie Jean, 80, of Bridgetown passed away Friday March 16, 2012 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Bridgetown she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Marjorie (Roberts) Troop. Marjorie was a life long member of St. James Anglican Church and the A.C.W. She was the Altar Mother for 40 years having taken over this position from her mother. She was a Charter member of the Wednesday evening Ladies Bridge Club. Marjorie worked at various businesses in Bridgetown including Bruce's Shoe Store, Acadian Distillery and Bridgetown Equipment where she was the bookkeeper. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and especially enjoyed visits from her grandchildren. Marjorie was an avid reader. She is survived by her husband Bill; sons: Grant (Joanne) of Bridgetown, Ian (Judy) of South Williamston, Dr. David (Sheila) of Bridgetown and daughter Karel Spicer of Bridgetown; brother Douglas ( June) Troop of Brockville, ON; sister Claire Andrews of Cornwallis Park; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by an infant granddaughter Jillian. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday in the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in St. James Anglican Church, Bridgetown with Rev. Joel Hardy officiating. Interment will be at a later date. The family would like to thank the nurses on Medical Floor at SMH for the care they provided Marjorie especially Janet. . Family flowers only.
