Obituary of John Carl Scott Halliday
John Carl Scott Halliday passed away at age 15 on September 2, 2022, at home in his happy place surrounded by his family in Graywood, NS. John was born on March 23, 2007. John is the son of April and Adam Halliday of Graywood, Annapolis County. In addition to his parents John is survived by his siblings, Coletyn Bower (Kelsey), Hope Bower (Travis), Emaly Halliday, as well as his nephew Brayden Bower, Avery Bower, David and James Graham. Survived by his grandparents Carl and Thelma Lewis of Parkers Cove and grandson of Lorna and the late John Bruce. He is also survived by his aunt Denise Robson, uncles Arron and Sharyn Halliday, John Bruce, Jerry (Shelly) Bruce, Justin Bruce (Consuelo), Aunt Janet Westlake (Kevin), Jackie (James) McCullough, and many other relatives. Predeceased by his uncle Stacey Lewis.
John was our rainbow. Through the tough times, through the adversity and the challenges and the pain, he shone through with a special light.
May we never forget this beautiful gift. May we give strength and support to his family as they find their way in this world without him. And may we honor his memory every time we look up to the sky, look past the clouds and see the rainbow.

Thank you to the VON CCA’s and Nurses that cared for John we couldn’t have asked for any better care for him. We also would like to thank Dr. Stacy Colwell and all the Palliative Care team at the IWK and palliative Care team at the Annapolis Community Health Centre. Along with all the Doctors and Nurses on 7 PMU of the IWK for all the years of providing care for John.
A private graveside service for John will be held 3:00 pm, Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Parkers Cove Cemetery with Pastor Jeff George officiating, immediate family members and close friends of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Donations in memory of John may be made to the family to help cover expenses.
