Obituary of Lawrence Edward Trask
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Lawrence Edward Trask, age 91 on July 16, 2022, at the Annapolis Community Health Centre. Born July 9, 1931, in Bloomington, NS he was a son of the late Charles (Bertie) and Grace (Crouse) Trask. Ned started his career with Nova scotia Light and Power in 1953 and retired from Nova Scotia Power after 43 years as Construction Superintendent. He worked on many Hydro sites including Tufts Cove, Wreck Cove and Lequille Generating Plant. Ned was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, past warden of St. John’s Church, past warden of Parish of Rosette and a board member of Moschelle Hall Society. He loved the woods and spending time at his camp. Ned was a loving husband a great dad and grandfather and a community volunteer. Left to mourn his loss and treasure his memories are his wife of 57 years Lorraine (Mailman); his sons Michael, Moschelle and Bradley (Kelly), Bedford; two special granddaughters Jessica Trask and Jayden Lewis; several nieces and nephews; sister Ruby (Bev) Carter, Saint John, NB. He was predeceased by sisters, Reeta Cummings, Rose Young, Thelma Daniels and Una Veinot. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home. No visitation by request. Memorial service will be held July 28th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Juanita Barteaux officiating. Interment will take place at St. Alban’s Cemetery, Lequille. A time of fellowship for family and friends to follow at the Trask home in Moschelle. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ned’s memory may be sent to the Annapolis West Health Foundation Palliative Care Program.
