Green, Robert Samuel, 77 of Beaconsfield passed away Nov. 4, 2021 peacefully at home into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior. Born Dec. 6, 1943 in Chatham, Ontario, he was a son of the late Robert and Doris (Bullis) Green. Robert played right wing with the Chatham Juniors and Defense with the Chatham Maroons Hockey Teams, and Coached with Jr A Teams in both Chatham, ON and Digby, NS. He treasured his Paramedic work in Windsor, Toronto and Tilbury, Ont. where he was able to assist those in need. He was a Boy Scout Leader in Wallaceburg, Ont. In the 70’s, he was honored to take his boys to the World Jamboree in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Bob enjoyed Deep Sea Diving in the Bahamas in his younger years, fishing, ice fishing, camping, Jam Sessions where he played his Autoharp, gardening, tending his grape vine in the back yard and compiling the family Genealogy. Bob was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Chatham, Ont.; Port Royal Branch #21 and Bridgetown Branch #133 NS for a total of 26 years. He is survived by wife Ethel (Frost) of 49 years; daughters: Mary-Lyn (David) Atkinson West Springhill and Lori Ann (Jason) Johnstone, Cochrane, Alta; grandsons Carson Atkinson and Evan Johnstone; Granddaughters: Morgan Atkinson and Avery Johnstone; sister Joy (John) Worthington, Wallaceburg, Ont.; nieces and nephews, cousins, good friends and a wonderful church family. Bob was predeceased by father and mother-in-law Hoyt and Mary Frost, brother-in-law James Frost, sisters-in-law Sylvia Nuell, Marjorie Munro & Janice Dondale. Special Thanks to Dr. Puetz, VON and Palliative Care for all their help and support so Bob could remain at home. Funeral service will be held 2:00pm November 20, 2021 at the Evergreen Baptist Church, West Paradise. Covid 19 restrictions apply. Proof of full vaccination, ID and masks required. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Lupus Foundation, Leukemia Research, Kidney Foundation, PTSD Research, Diabetes Association or to a charity of one’s choice.
