Please share a memory of Florence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Baird (Euloth), Florence 79, passed away on February 7, 2012 at home in Clementsvale. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Rhynold) Euloth. She is survived by a half-brother Bill Benoit of Nanaimo, BC and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Euloth (Joyce) of Halifax; sister, Jean Richardson (Everett) of Canso; half sister, Patsy Fairn of Dartmouth and niece Heather (Euloth) Curtis of Halifax. Florence worked in nursing at the Digby General Hospital for 20 years before giving it up in 1975 to run Baird's Snow Country with Reg. She was an avid hunter herself and a nature lover. Florence spent many hours cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, and golfing. Square dancing was another hobby she enjoyed. Sewing, quilting and baking kept her busy indoors. Potluck suppers and hymns around her piano were enjoyed by many. In later years, she was quite content to sit in front of her woodstove with a good book, knitting or baking up a storm for friends, neighbors and church events. Florence had a deep faith and was very involved in her church. Her warm spirit and generous hospitality will be greatly missed by the whole community, church, friends and relatives. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Clementsvale United Baptist Church, Clementsvale with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. A reception will follow in the Church Vestry. Family flowers only please. Instead, donations may be sent to a charity of your choice Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal.
