Oliver, Josephine Ilean – 94, Annapolis Royal, formerly of Parkers Cove, passed away peacefully April 10, 2021 in the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Litchfield, March 1, 1927, she was the daughter to the late Ralph and Edna (Everett) Hamilton. She was a member of the Parkers Cove Baptist Church and in 1966 she received her Dominion Life Membership of the Baptist Women’s Missionary Societies of Canada. As well, she was a former member of the Fundy Thread and Thimble Sewing Club. She is survived by her children, Gerald (Norma) Oliver, Parker Mountain Road, Lillian (Les) Bohaker, Parkers Cove, Linda (Bruce) Hudson, Parker Mountain Road; daughter in law, Sharon Greenwood, Digby; 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kerri MacAulay) Longmire, Jeremy (Shirley Holder) Longmire, Jamie Longmire, Barry (Deanna) Oliver, Amy (Marc) Sproule, Adam (Amanda) Lewis, Karson (Valerie) Lewis, Candice (Jacob Longmire) Hudson, Aaron (Brenda Smith) Hudson, Jason (Amanda) Greenwood, Gerry (Janine) Greenwood; 20 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; siblings, Chester (Avis) Hamilton, Layton (Joan) Hamilton, Goldie (Louis) Thibodeau; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Dennison “Denny”; son, Neil Oliver; daughter, Beverly Longmire ; grandson, Carman Oliver; great granddaughter, Melanie Sproule; sons in laws, Michael Lewis, Paul Longmire; siblings, Gordon, Victor, Glendon (Jack), Reginald, Vera Burnie, Lillian White. There will be a private family service held in the Parkers Cove Baptist Church, with Pastor Bob Elliot officiating, with burial to follow in the Parkers Cove Cemetery. Donations in Josie’s memory may be made to the Activity Department at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Family flowers only.
