Obituary of Bruce O'Brien

O'Brien, Bruce Gordon - 84 of Berwick, Kings County formerly of Clementsport.. With sadness we announce the death of brother and uncle Bruce Gordon O'Brien. He was the son of the late Edward and Lena (Maughan) O'Brien. Bruce loved all sports in his younger years. He was a very kind and gentle person. Bruce worked at the Dry cleaning plant in Truro, later relocating to Ontario and becoming a foreman of a dry cleaning plant. After sustaining an injury due to a car accident he was unable to work. Bruce was a former member of St. Edward's Anglican Church, Clementsport. Bruce is survived by his sister, Pearl (O'Brien) Lewis of Clementsport; nephew, David Lewis (Ester) of Bear River; nieces, Beverly and Bonnie-Lynn Lewis of Clementsport; Eileen Stevens (Leon) and Evelyn Acker (James) of Jeddore, Halifax County; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Carl and sister, Gertrude Daye. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 7 to 9 pm in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Family flowers only. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday February 1st, 2012, at Christ Anglican Church, Berwick, with Rev. Charles Bull officiating. Following the service, interment will be held in Old St. Edwards Anglican Cemetery, Clementsport. All family and friends are welcome to attend. Donations in memory may be sent to a charity of your choice. We would like to thank Liberty Lodge Residential Care Facility and staff, also Granview Manor and Staff for their excellent care and kind words of sympathy.
