Obituary of Cynthia Jean Peck Cress

Please share a memory of Cynthia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Peck Cress, Cynthia J. – 59, of Bear River, NS, with family by her side, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour whom she served and loved, on Thursday, March 4, 2021. Cynthia was the daughter of Ruth and the late Willard Peck. Cynthia married Fred and spent over 31 years together. Over the years, as a couple they enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and trips to the Exhibition. Cynthia was compassionate, honest, trustworthy, fun-loving, adventurous, entertaining and so much fun to be around. Cynthia’s passion was being a mom. She opened her heart and home to many people over the years, including children in care, nieces and nephews, and friends of her girls. She had a unique talent for finding just the right gift for loved ones, demonstrating her thought and care for those who were close to her. Family and friends enjoyed listening to her tell stories of her life adventures and having her share her wisdom over a hot cup of tea. Throughout her life, her faith in the Lord was her guiding compass. She instilled her faith and values in her precious family, whom she was very proud of. Cynthia had a heart of gold and it showed in every aspect of her life. She was someone who would check in on you if you were having a hard time, would always just be a phone call away, and always offered trusted advice. She will always be missed by her children Thene (BJ) Hall, Lara, Deane, Shawna, Skylya, Stephon, Ashley, and Dominique. She held a special bond with her grandsons Wesley and Lincoln. She is survived by her brothers Randy (Cathy), Rodney, Michael (Amanda), and her sister Dawna (Kerry) Bell. Cynthia loved the outdoors, especially her walks on the Fed on a snowy evening; “just like a snow globe” she would say. She had a true gift of seeing the good in everything and everyone. Cynthia was a leader, strong, determined, passionate, and someone always in your corner. She did not hold back, and “told it like it was”. Her presence is greatly missed. DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS THE SERVICE WILL BE BY INVITATION ONLY. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 7th. The service will be recorded and made available on the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home website by Sunday evening. Donations in memory may be made to the IWK.
