We were so sorry to hear that Merle had passed and yet happy he had reached his final resting place with his Heavenly Father.
He was a wonderful man of great faith and we are all privileged and blessed to have had him in our lives. He was a great teacher, encourager and wore many 'hats' during his lifetime as husband, father, grandfather and many others which he wore all so well with love and compassion.
We all have such special memories of him that we will cherish always. Audrey and family, may all the precious memories you each have of him bring you great comfort in time.
May God wrap His loving arms around each of you and hold you close as you experience this great loss.
Our deepest sympathy,
Maxine and Willis Marshall

We are saddened to hear of Merle's passing. We cherish the memories of the past, near 50 years, while he was our Minister in South Range and the years in Fredericton and PEI. The many hours of Bible Study, sermons and discussion will always be cherished. Thank you Audrey for allowing him to be in our lives doing what he loved to do. Thank you Merle in heaven.
Shirley and I send along our deepest sympathy to Audrey and the family during this difficult time. Cherish the memories! A wonderful man of God who was ready to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ.

My deepest condolences to Audrey, Mark, Kirk and their families. It was one of the blessings of my life to have known Merle for the last 50 years. He was a pastor, a mentor and a beloved friend. Your smile, that laugh, the bear hugs, the teasing, and most of all, your example, will all be missed more than I can say. You have finished your race. Till we meet again.
With love,
Heather Haddon Matson

So many of us have such great memories of Merle. He was always encouraging, smiling, and ready to lend a hand. A man who "practiced what he preached" in so many ways - a person with the deepest, most genuine faith who lived by example and truly had a heart for God. It was very sad to see his mind decline in his later years....It makes the earlier years shine even brighter in our memories. Our deepest sympathies to the family. We love you, Merle.

Such a friend, such a teacher, such an encourager. My condolences to the family - we await the return of the Lord and the resurrection to renew our relationships with friends in the faith like this gentle and good man. When I left home to go to Bible College, he said, "I'm so glad you're going, but I wish you weren't going. I want you to go, but I'm going to miss you." Those sentiments are turned around now. He baptized us and he married us and he loved us - great legacy.
