Obituary of Dorothy Mae Earle

Earle, Dorothy Mae (nee Bauchman), Bridgetown. Born on April 24, 1927, in Middleton Dorothy was the second daughter of the late Edward Bauchman and his wife Bertha Bauchman (nee Fancy). She was predeceased by her husband Hayward Earle, brother Reginald Bauchman and her sister Mary (Bauchman) Connell. She passed away peacefully on June 19, 2020 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. She is survived by her brothers Ernest (Vi) Bauchman, British Columbia and Brinton (Madelyn) Bauchman of Kingston, NS; daughter Erna Mailman, Aurora, ON and son Chris Earle , Hamilton, ON; granddaughters: Shelley (Bob Oliver), Jennifer Mailman, Nicole Earle, grandson Anthony Earle (Laura); great grandchildren: Jillian, Quinn, Skylar, Katrina, Violet, and Brianna. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews. Dorothy spent most of her life in the Bridgetown area., working at a variety of jobs which included the Bridgetown telephone/telegraph office, United Elastic plant, Save Easy Snack Bar, and just prior to retirement , waitress and front desk clerk at the Bridgetown Motor Hotel. Dorothy was a long time member of the Centrelea Baptist Church. Cremation has taken place and because of the COVID-19 pandemic, a visitation/service will not take place. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Centrelea Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dorothy’s personal care worker , Tabitha Clayton, whose love and kindness for Dorothy enabled her to remain in her own residence, in the last few remaining years, of her life.
