My thoughts and prayers go out to Brent, Bonnie&Glen, Kevin, Terry and family. I knew Fred for the past year and what an interesting fellow he was. Most mornings he would pretend to be sleeping and then scare me by saying "BOO" which he thought was funny but me... not so much. I always laughed afterwards. He was a wonderful man and such a sweet heart who loved his family so very much. I knew this because everyday he always asked about each of his kids and was always happy to see them and excited to know that they were on their way.
I enjoyed Freddie's stories of his life adventures and felt fortunate to be spending time with a man who seemed to truly appreciate his life and what he had done and accomplished. I admired him as he always spoke in a humble manner about the details of his life and didn't seem to take any credit for the impact he had on his surroundings, even his efforts in the war.
I am filled with sadness of his passing but am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to spend time with him and his family. Little did I know when I first met him I found out my dad fished with him. Maybe it was meant to be that I got to know him.
Thank you to the Kay family for being loving and welcoming me into your home to care for your father.
Freddie will always be in my thoughts! My sweet pea
Carrie
