Obituary of Walter William Chaban

Chaban, Walter William – Kentville formerly of Bridgetown, passed away May 6, 2020, at the age of 81, in the Evergreen Home for Special Care. He was born, January 10, 1939, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Walter was a warrant officer in the Canadian Armed Forces for 24 years; serving from 1956 to 1980. After retirement, he went to work for the Department of National Defense at CFB Cornwallis. Being on his boat, in the Bay of Fundy fishing was one of his great passions. Walter leaves behind his brother, Orest Chaban; sister, Olga Uwins; his three children, Christopher Chaban, Carmen Chaban and Crystal Wood; grandson, Kai Wood. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. There will be no service at this time. Donations in Walters memory may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, as he was very involved with this charity for many years.
