Hiltz, Roy Clayton – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roy on April 21, 2020. He was a loving husband of his wife, Judy, for 59 years. Roy was a hard worker, providing the best life he could for his family. He owned and operated a bowling business in Halifax for many years and a number of businesses throughout the Valley. His latest being the Apple Pit which he built, owned and operated in Bridgetown, Now the Tim Hortons. Roy and Judy loved to dance back in the Rock and Roll days in the early 60’s in Halifax. Roy was an avid golfer and ardent baseball and hockey fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by son, Rickee (Kelley), grandson, Roderick; daughter, Toni Schofield (Jason), Grandchildren, Quintin, Ayla, and Parker; son, Chad (Bernice), grandson, Eric, step grandson, Ashton. He is also survived by son, Richard and daughter, Kim, from a previous marriage, and their children and grandchildren; as well as sisters, Loraie and Betty-Lou. He was predeceased by his father and mother, the late Wilbur and Ruth Hiltz, sister, Reta and brother, Charles. In keeping with Roy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral Service.
