Gillis, Charles Raymond “Bubby” – 82 of Bridgetown, passed away March 12, 2020 in the Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal. Born in Bridgetown, he was a son of the late Arthur G. and Eleanor (Chute) Gillis. He was an auto mechanic all of his working life. He is predeceased by his wife, Lorna M. (Hudson) Gillis (March 05, 2020). Survived by his daughters, Blista L. (Jeff) Bishop, Clarence; Deidra L. Gillis, Truro; granddaughter, Brocklyn N. Bishop (Tim), Paradise; grandson, Bailey E. Bishop, Clarence; brother, Arthur G. Gillis Jr. (Juanita), Moschelle; sisters, Maureen Sutherland (Claire), Hamilton, Ontario; Doris Bower, Port Hope, Ontario and Beverley (Roy) Durling, Carleton Corner; half-sister, Frances Gillis, South Carolina, USA; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he is predeceased by sister, Dorothy Gillis. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown.
