Obituary of Paul Joseph Gallant

Gallant, Paul Joseph – 75, of West Paradise, passed away February 27, 2020, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Edgar and Mae (Pelham) Gallant. As a youth Paul was active in baseball, football, hockey, paddling, and sailing. His adventurous spirit lead him into the Marchant Marine as a young adult and later into farming in Sussex, New Brunswick. He finished his work career in the Supply Department of the Department of National Defense. Paul loved to travel and in his retirement was able to enjoy exploring with his wife and best buddy, Monique. When at home Paul enjoyed tinkering in his workshop, gardening, reading and ham radios. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Monique (Neretti); sister, Stepheny (Carl) Watters, NB; step daughter, Corine Martin and step grandchildren, Jake, Renee and Gina all of Australia; nieces, Beth, Susan, Stephanie and Carol; nephews, John, Carl, Michael, David and Karl. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, John; two sisters, Margaret and Lurline. Following Paul’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Donations may be made in memory of Paul to the SPCA or your local animal shelter.
