Obituary of Cavell Melina Dawe

It is with profound sadness and the heaviest of hearts, the family of Cavell Melina Dawe of Port Williams, NS, announce her sudden passing on February 24, 2020 at Valley Regional Hospital with her family and sister Melvina and niece, Carolyn, by her side sharing fond memories. Predeceased by her Father and Mother, Walter and Lillian Dawe and brother, Austin Dawe. Leaving to morn, her loving husband of over 47 years, Olan Lee, her children Tina (Robert) Polem, Roderick Dawe, Denice (George) Brown, Kenneth (Karla) Dawe, and her 7 cherished grandchildren, Gregory, Alexandria, Joshua, Jordan, Marina, Madison and Brock, beloved sister Melvina (Jim) Thorne, and loving brothers Edward and Clyde (Laura) Dawe. Many nephews and nieces. Born on October 24, 1949 in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, moved to Port Williams in 2000 to be close to her children. Cavell was a care giver and a woman of many skills. Cavell was a hard worker to end, her last employer being Louis Millett Community Complex. The family would like to thank the staff at Valley Regional ER department for being very supportive during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will occur at Louis Millet Community Complex on 2 May 2020 from 2-4pm. In keeping with Cavell's generous spirit, it was her decision to donate life so others may live it. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
