To the entire Cress Family,
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
I too, had the pleasure of meeting and working with Lorayne during my time in Real Estate. She was a lovely person.

I was very sorry to hear of Lorayne's passing. I first met her many years ago at the Mountain Gap. I was newly single with children to support. It was my first job here and Lorayne eased my path in every way and was a mentor to me. She was confident, humorous, dynamic and tried to bring those qualities out in others. At work, when greeted by colleagues asking how one was, she urged us to pump a fist in the air and emphatically say, "I feel terrific"! I think her enthusiasm and her faith in me and my abilities helped me in my goal to become a teacher.
Recently I saw Lorayne as she was helping a friend of mine find a house to buy. She seemed subdued and very quiet and now I think I know why. I am sorry for your loss which affects so many people but I am grateful to have known her.
In sympathy, Bette Drish

Lorayne and I hit it off from Day One, when she joined us at Tradewinds Realty. I knew Lorayne from her days at RE/MAX Banner in Digby but when she joined Tradewinds Realty Inc, we became good friends and colleagues. We shared many laughs and long talks about real estate. She was so proud of her beautiful family. When she would talk about her grandchildren, I would make her listen to stories about my "granddog"! She had a twinkle in her eye but could roll those eyes at me when needed. We would do lunch together quite a bit and she would scan the menu but we always knew what the choice would be...fish and chips! So the next time I am in the Fort Ann Cafe, I will order our favourite Lorayne meal, and remember our many lunches and talks that were always mixed with laughter. I learned a lot from you my dear friend. I am a better person for knowing you.
Ron, Carrie, Sheryl, Michelle and Jennifer, Kathy, Dena, Marilyn, and John, I want you to know that I am sending my sincerest condolences and I am hoping all the good memories sustain you through this difficult time.
