Obituary of Myrtle Elizabeth Clayton

Clayton, Myrtle Elizabeth – 96 Annapolis Royal formerly of Parker’s Cove, passed away December 10, 2016 in Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born February 13,1920, in Parker’s Cove, she was the daughter of the late William and Jessie (Oliver) Gregory. Myrtle was a very kind and care person, who never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She loved to keep herself busy, sewing quilts and making clothing, knitting socks, and hooking rugs, all for the benefit of her family and members of her community. Myrtle is survived by her 6 daughters, Jean (James) Rogers, Caledonia, Norma Selig, Parker’s Cove, Christine Minard, Caledonia, Beverly (Gary) Shearer, Lawrencetown, Erna Clayton (Matthew), Weymouth, Lisa (Richard) Guest, Parker’s Cove; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George; grandson, Robert Rogers; brothers, George, Roy, Stanley, Murray; sisters, Lola, Elsie, Eleanor, Dorothy. A visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Thursday December 15, with a funeral service being held 2 pm Friday December 16, both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. Family Flowers Only. Donations in Myrtles memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or to a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to thank the staff of the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home and Dr. Buchholz, for the exceptional care you gave Myrtle during her time there.
