Sabean, Johnson Lewis age 94 of Bridgetown and formerly of Arlington Rd, Hampton passed away May 7, 2016 at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Middleton after a short illness. Born February 25, 1922, he was the son of the late Ansley and Lottie (Blanchard) Sabean. Johnson worked as a woodsman and was a truck driver owning his own truck in later years. Both he and Myrna loved children and helped raise many family members and foster children. He loved to saw his own logs and use the lumber to build various buildings. Johnson also enjoyed hunting and fishing and still took the time to fish until just a few years ago. He is survived by his two daughters, Iris (Donald) Desmules, Wilmot and Laura (Jimmy) Stoddart, Inglisville; foster children, Sharon Blanchard, Steven Potter and Ralph Bennett; brothers, Robert, Grafton, Linden, North Williamston; sisters, Bessie Fraser, Greenwood, Leta Keddy, Berwick, and Florence Caldwell, Bridgetown; 4 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Myrna and son, Brian, foster son, David Windsor, brother, George and sister, Mary. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 7-9 PM from Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 11th at 2 PM from the Hampton Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Randy Legassie officiating. Interment will take place in Hampton Cemetery. Family flowers only.
