Obituary of David Charles Owen

Owen, David Charles – 68, of Whites Corner, passed away surrounded by his family April 21, 2016, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Bridgetown, he was the son of the late Ellen Owen. David loved life, family and the outdoors. He always had a “soft-spot” for animals. His home was his “castle”. For 30 plus years he was a cook at camp Aldershot. David is survived by his common-law partner, Catherine Ann Rawlins; sons, Dennis (Tanya) Owen; Derrick (Dawn) Owen, Kentville and step son, Danny (Verna) Bechard, Coldbrook; daughter, Tanya (Jim) Nickerson, Woodville; grandchildren, Tyra, Devon, Rionna, Julia, Seth, Tristian and Shawndel; one great grandchild, Avha; sisters, Linda, Gloria and Tracey; brother, Cyril; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown. No visitation by request. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, April 25, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown, with Pastor Cathy Batson officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown.
