ATWELL, George Daniel- 1947 - 2010. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful son and brother at the home of his sister Patty, in Princedale, N.S. on November 20, 2010 at age 63. He was predeceased by his father Allan. George worked for and retired from Inco in Sudbury Ontario for 34 years. He was interested in sports, playing softball, golf and curling. He kept League statistics and coached women's softball. He loved to read and had a great sense of humor. George was born in St. Jean, Quebec to Allan Frederick and Lillian Mae (Scudamore). He is survived by his sister's Patty (Jack) Fowler, Cathy Atwell and brother John (Wanda) Atwell, and several neices and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 24 at 2 pm in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Annapolis Royal with rev. Randy Legassie officiating. Thanks to Annapolis Valley Palliative Care Program, VON, Home Support and Dr. L. Burgess. As well the doctors and nurses at the Sudbury Cancer Center.
