Otis Clarence Hubley, 86, of Parkers Cove, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, passed away suddenly at home on August 21, 2026. With a heavy heart we say goodbye to a man who loved and was loved by his stepchildren as if they were his own, and by his wife who was always by his side.  Born in New Germany, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, on October 19, 1939 to the late Ruth and Clarence Hubley. They later moved to Torbrook, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, where he lived and worked for a variety of people until he started work for the Lafarge Company on a rock crusher for many years.  Later he worked as a truck driver until he retired.  Otis was a member of the Parkers Cove Baptist Church, loved going for drives anywhere at any time, square dancing, going to jams, his cookies and peppermints.  He had a good heart and was always ready to help or serve when needed.  Otis liked to tease and was often heard saying “we’re getting 10ft of snow” and “Holy Christmas”. Otis is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Patsy; stepchildren, Timothy Lewis (Susan) of Brampton, Ontario, Angela Amero of Parkers Cove, Arlene Orde of Digby and Kimberly Hamilton of Lawrencetown; Margaret Morse of Harmony, Ellen Caldwell of Sackville and Phillip Parker of Saint John, NB.  He was Grampy to 10 step grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his first wife Ella; step daughter, Margeret “Margie” Lewis (Peter); step grandson, Bryden Orde; brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Hubley and one in infancy; step children, Elaine, Stewart and Edgar Marshall. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal.  A visitation will be held 2 – 4 pm, Saturday, September 5, 2026, in the Flex Centre in Parkers Cove Baptist Church.  A burial will be held 2 pm, Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Torbrook Mines United Church Cemetery, with Pastor Collin McMahon, officiating. Donations made in his memory can be sent to Lung Association of Nova Scotia.

Otis loved his family and will be greatly missed by everyone.
