Bevin, David "Dave" Eric, age 68 of Greenwood, Nova Scotia, died of cancer on July 11, 2026, at Valley Hospice in Kentville. He leaves behind his wife and soulmate, Donna "Charlie" Milne, and his beloved cat, Blue. 

He was a son of the late Audrey Agatha (Starratt) Bevin and John Charles Bevin. 

He was predeceased by siblings Gwendolyn Blackburn, Colleen Demerais, and Donald Bevin and mother and father-in-law, Jean and Donnie Milne. 

He is survived by daughters Rhea Bevin (Paul Decker), Erica Bevin (Jeff MacLeod), and grandson Connor. Surviving siblings are Jack Bevin (Jeanine), Dale Bevin, Richard Bevin, Danny Bevin (Kathie), Beverley Ann Rogerson, Pamela Lynn Bevin-Joncas (Barry), Perry Bevin and David John Bevin. As well as several nieces and nephews.

Dave also leaves behind his Milne family members: Debra (Daryl) McGrath, Wanda (Doug) Bullerwell, Sandra Milne, and great friends of the family Anna Sarty (Gordon Rosen), and Shelley (John) Reader. 

Dave held several jobs, such as at Arby's, Ikea, Volvo, the Royal Bank, and construction/woodworking places. Dave enjoyed being "Charlie's" Ringmaster at several horse shows she judged and also set up speaker systems and trail obstacles, as needed, just to get to do some traveling with her when she was Judging and teaching riding. 

As a child Dave was never lonely with 11 siblings to keep him busy. He loved to play on the railroad tracks - jumping on slow moving trains, playing baseball and also playing down in the Halifax Harbor where he also loved to fish. 

In his adolescent he would follow his older brothers’ bands around listening to music. He became quite an album collector at that time and he still loved the classics which Charlie played for him at Hospice to keep him comfortable in his final days. 

Funeral service will take place at Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, on 15 July, 2026, at 2pm, with Pastor Jeff Milne officiating. Reception to follow at Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, prior to interment.
