Sarty, Edison Clifford – 78, of Clarence passed away June 23, 2026 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Born December 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Roland and Rena (Gull) Sarty.

Eddie spent most of his working career, driving truck for Thompsons and then for Ricky Durling in later years. He was known in Clarence for always making sure everyone’s drive ways were plowed before they had to head out for work in the mornings. He had a great love for spending his time over the shore, where he and Rose spent most of their summers. In his spare time, he could be found outside tinkering around with his John Deere Tractor, spending time with his pets Buddy, Willis and kitty cat or down at the garage spending time with ‘the boys’. He was always willing to share his Chew and Kraken.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Rose; sons, Edison of Youngs Cove, Blake of Clarence; daughter, Lesa (Phillip) of Paradise; daughter in-law, Shirley; grandchildren, Luke, Kaitlyn, Gregory, Tyler, Jenna, Kara Ann, Dustin, Nicole; great grandson, Edwin; brother, Rodney; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Perry; brother, Martin; sisters, Alma and Grace.
