Gordon Leslie Zwicker Obituary
Gordon Leslie Zwicker passed suddenly on 14 June 2026 at the age of 90 after a brief hospitalization. He will be dearly missed by his wife Twila, daughter Janet Zwicker-Read (Rob), stepsons Paul Bailey (Monica), Crawford Bailey (Debbie) and Stewart Bailey (Tammy). Fondly remembered by daughter-in-law Brenda, grandsons Timothy and Benjamin, sisters-in-law Doris and Betty, brother Gerry, many nieces and nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents (John) Fred and Edith, son David, brothers Reginald and Donald.
He was born in Berwick on 22 May 1936, and when he was a young boy the family moved to the Bridgetown area, where he lived the rest of his life. He attended Nova Scotia Agricultural College and graduated with honors. He used that education to build a successful dairy farming operation. In later years he sold the dairy herd and set his sights on cash crops, which eventually led him to the establishment of Valley Sod and Landscaping. He was always fortunate and grateful to be able to do what he loved until he "retired". In his spare time he liked to travel, and he was passionate about curling, both participating and watching. He also enjoyed time at home with family, or just quietly listening to music.
Gordon did not want a funeral service. In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated and his ashes spread over his land. Donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
