Gladys Pearl Amero, 78 – of Weaver Settlement, NS passed peacefully at home on June 10, 2026.

Gladys was born in Weaver Settlement on December 12, 1947. Her parents were, Ernest and Hazel (Bell) Hersey.

Gladys was a homemaker for most of her life. After raising 6 children and 2 grandchildren, she ventured out and got a job. She worked at Gordon Barr’s mink ranch, Fish plant, then later years at the 340 Co-op. She retired and went back to being a homemaker.

Over the years, Gladys was known for her good food. Gladys and Nevins had get-togethers often, and Gladys would cook everything from the main dishes to the baked goods. Her saying was ‘I can’t make anything small’. She was known for her delicious homemade bread, beans, rapure pie. Her breads and rolls fed many.

Gladys was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was predeceased by her parents and her loving husband, Nevins of 60 years.

She leaves behind her loving family, Tabitha (Wayne), Veronica, Jacqueline (Duane), Joseph (Shirley), Crystal (Shawn), April (Derek); grandchildren, Shelby, Alexander (Alex), John Paul (Megan), Darla (Waylon), Brock, Joseph (Denise), Zachary, Jericho (Hanna), Samantha (Cory), Josh, Cheyanne, Dominick, Julia; great grandchildren, Yeshua, Eisha, Brynlee, Shiloh, Owen, Hershey and Wesley.

A funeral service will be held 2pm June 15, 2026 from the South Range Christian Church, with a visitation being held starting at 12 noon until service time. Reception will follow. Online condolences may be made at www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
