Jean Ruth Milne Obituary
MILNE, JEAN RUTH, age 94, passed away peacefully, May 27, 2026, at Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. She was the only daughter of the late Leah (Baltzer) and G. Arnold Bent.
Jean held a few jobs over the years, but probably most remembered for her position as Teller at Bank of Nova Scotia, Annapolis Royal, from where she retired after 20 years. She, along with husband, Donnie, travelled to Florida for over 30 years. For many years, Jean could be found sitting in the bleachers at Horse Camps, Shows, and Exhibitions, encouraging and supporting her five daughters, and countless others who also called her “mom”.
Jean is survived by daughters, Debra (Daryl) McGrath, Wanda (Doug) Bullerwell, Sandra Milne, Donna “Charlie” (Dave Bevin) Milne, close family friends, Anna Sarty (Gordon Rosen), Shelley (John) Reader; grandchildren, Lynn (Sam) McLean, Geoff (Vandean) Bullerwell, Darren (Tracey) McGrath, Deanna McGrath, Kim (Chad) Cronin, Jaimie (Jamie) Refuse, Keysto (Alyssa) Hamilton; great grandchildren, Trenten, Faith, Travis, Ashley, Olivia, Emily, Aiden, Rayne, Addison, Marlowe and Darby. Jean was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Donald; daughter, Tanya; brothers, Maurice, Allan and George. She was the last surviving member on both sides of the family.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home. A service will take place at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 2pm, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating.
The family would like to extend our utmost gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home, for the care and compassion shown to our mom over the last five and a half years. Mom may be gone, but you haven’t seen the last of us yet. We plan to continue our visits with some very special residents that we have bonded with over the years.
