Margaret Agnes (Carroll) Sabean 88, of Halifax, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, Victoria General, Centennial Building, Halifax.   Born in Deer Island, Newfoundland, to the late Ernest and Nina (Coley) Carroll.  Mom was a Certified Nursing Assistant, worked in many hospitals and later worked as a private duty nurse. After retiring from nursing, she went to work at Sears until her retirement. When Mom was able, she was very active in the Emmanuel Anglican Church, Spryfield; loved to go dancing, sew, knit and embroidery; going for walks with her dogs; enjoyed going on many trips.  Mom could always be heard singing with or without the radio.   She is survived by her children, Cameron (Alice) of Newfoundland, Maxine Kelly of Halifax, Wendy (Tim) of Port Lorne and Perry (Natalie) of Hammonds Plains; grandchildren, Linsey, Melissa, Deiter, Neil (Becky), Cheryl (Bruce), Josh (Megan), Samantha (Chad), Leisa (Colin), Amanda (Mike) and Morgan; great grandchildren, Amelia, Chloe, Ben, Maxwell, Emersyn, Gunner, Palmer, Walter, Elias, Izacc and one expected in August; sister, Annie, Newfoundland; sisters-in-law, Aneitha, Evelyn and Clara; brother-in-law, Allen; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Curtis Maxwell; son-in-law, Cavan Kelly; brothers, Fred (moms twin passed away May 12, 1999), Clarence, Sidney and Ron; sister, Sadie; sisters-in-law, Sadie and Sarah; brothers-in-law, Perry, Keith, Wesley, Bill, Dolf and Tom.  Following mom’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown.  A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in the Emmanuel Anglican Church, Spryfield. A reception will follow in the Church Hall.  Burial will take place 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 23, 2026.  at Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne. A reception will follow in the Port Lorne Fire Hall.
