Janette Judy Wolfe Obituary
Janette Judy Wolfe May 3,1942 – May 6,2026
With sadness, the family of the late Janette Judy Wolfe born May 3, 1942, to George and Marie Uhlman of New Elm passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. Janette and her siblings lost their dad at a young age. Being one of the oldest of 14 children, Janette had to help her mother and older siblings look after her younger siblings whom she adored greatly.
In Janettes younger years she had multiple jobs including working at the Berwick canning factory, Keji National Park, and the North Queens Nursing Home in Caledonia. During her time at North Queens Nursing Home, she met the love of her life Doug who worked there as a janitor at the time. They went out on a date and the rest was history. Janette and Doug were married on September 16th, 1978, and on May 6th, 1979, they welcomed their first child Angela, followed by their still born daughter Ann Marie in 1980, then completed their family with Christopher in 1983.
Janette loved to bake as most of you know, which led Janette to start her own bakery in the spring of 1982: THE OLD COUNTRY BAKESHOP. Janette was welcomed with open arms by the community and thrived until unfortunately due to sickness, the business closed. Although Janettes life was full of sickness; mostly kidney disease, Janette kept fighting and eventually received her new kidney that served her well for over 30 years.
Janette is survived by her husband of 48 years Doug, daughter Angela (John) Tantallon; son Christopher (Amanda) Caledonia, grandchildren Alaura , Brian , Payton , Hayden , Bryson, Shaylynn, Brayden, Shyann, Nyeah, Ayva, Aly Brothers Fulton (Sharon), Georgie (Helen), Ronnie (Debbie), Sheldon, Ivan (Lori-Ann) Sisters Ester, Margaret, and Sheila (Brian) and numerous extended family members. Janette was predeceased by her father George, Mother Marie, Brothers Vincent, Everett, Gerald, and another in infancy, sisters Stella and Bertha and beloved Daughter in- law Melanie. Brother and Sister in laws Juanita, Garth, Rayburn, Kenny and Betty.
During Janettes time on earth, she met a lot of friends. Some she worked with and some she just stumbled upon. Jenette held those memories and friendships close. Everyone had all brought great joy to Jenette’s life over the years.
We the family would like to thank the VON Nurses, Home Care Workers, Palliative Care, NP Renata Bennett, NQFA, Rev Carol & Wayne Smith, And many others. Donations may be made to the kidney foundation. At this time there will be no interment.
