Dear Jennifer,, I was So sorry to hear of your dear mother’s failing health and recent passing. What an elegant lady! She was so gracious and so interested in so many facets of life but none topped her love for her family! That love shone through above all else. I always appreciated my conversations with her, all those years ago.
She made a difference in her community and in the lives of many.
I lost my mother in 2019 and I miss her everyday and I know you will too but they taught us well… we keep going because that’s what our mothers taught us!
Thinking of you and your family,
Sincerely, Vicki Fletcher

I send the sincerest of condolences to you both, Jennifer and Jeff and to your families. I have such warm and cherished memories of time spent with your family in the ‘70’s when we lived at Cornwallis. I remember happy gatherings at the Officers’ Mess, where I would have met Julie and Jack. They were such a dynamic duo! Their home was a place of welcome and warmth. I recall with a smile the times Julie read our palms to foretell our futures— all in good fun. Also, the time she organized us to put on a fashion show on the Base. She was so elegant and gracious. May your lifetime of memories bring smiles and warm your heart, albeit sometimes your eyes will be brimming. You were very fortunate to be born to Jack and Julie.
Much love,
Denise Connors

Linda and I offer our sincere condolences to Jennifer and Jeff and their families. Many a day during my teen years I would find myself in the Turner home where Julie was always the exceptional hostess making me feel like family. Last summer during a visit we fondly reminisced the quintessential village life that was Granville Ferry. May her community spirit live in each of us.

I was so sorry to read of Mrs. Turner's passing. I met her when I started attending the Stoney Beach Cemetery meetings with my grandmother. When I showed an interest in getting involved with the cemetery she was very encouraging and brought me on board. I certainly appreciate all the work she did as president. My sincere condolences to her family.

So sad to hear of Julie's passing. But reading about her life, I am so glad that she had such a happy, fulfilling one.
I first met her and Jack as a twenty year old when they played bridge with my parents. I was immediately captivated by everything about her...but mostly her genuineness. She was quite a lady and her family is so lucky to have had her guidance. She was tough on the tennis court but always with a smile! I can still hear her laugh when the occasion arose...which seemed to be often when she was around. My thoughts are with Jessica, Luke, and all the family.
