Johnny was a kind friend and I enjoyed working and visiting with him over the years - driving by
his home I can still see him playing around the yard in my minds eye - better days to come ...

Johnny was one of the first people we met here 26 years ago. Wonderful friendly guy, roaming the roads with his dog "Vallery Pringle"

I am a relative newcomer to Port Wade ( only have lived here here twenty years) I first met Johnny at tea with Paul from time to time, my neighbour, a childhood friend he visited almost daily. They did most of the talking and of course I did most of the listening. For a change, with Paul’s help, we even managed a night out at the theatre. He had a cheerful outlook in-spite of the challenges he faced, an interesting take on work and life here. I would be remiss Chad if I didn't say he was very proud of you. You took good care of him looked out for him and helped him to live an independent life. You never let him down. His struggle is over and I hope you and your family treasure the good memories

I was so sorry to hear of Johnny's passing. Reading all the true remembrances of Johnny made me smile and miss his smile which was ever present. His quick high wave when our paths crossed, never a scowl, always that easy going friendliness that Chad and his family all seem to have...that's how I will remember him. He will be missed, I'm sure, but his legacy lives on. A good man.

This obituary paints a portrait of exactly who Johnny was. While I haven't seen him in sometime, I do remember him for his kind heart, smile, and ready laugh. The world would be a better place if there were more Johnny Cronins in it. Our sincere condolences to Chad and family, and to the members of his adoptive families.

Johnny was that guy! That guy who showed resilience, respect for others and kindness for others! That guy who could make anyone chuckle with his wink, a thumbs up and a smartly worn T-shirt!That guy who now lives on in his son and grand children. That guy who has touched so many with simplicity and sense of heritage. I am thankful to have the gift of getting to know Johnny and will remember him fondly. Chad and family I am sorry for your loss! Love Amanda
