Wayne, Trina, and Kirsty I am so very sorry to hear of Karen's passing. She was a very special person and I know that your memories of her will hold you all in good stead in the years to come.
I first met Karen in the early 70's when she worked at The Country Sampler. So lovely, with that beautiful smile and sense of style...often wearing a tam... she was the epitome of grace and warmth. I still have and wear clothes that she helped me choose there, with her terrific taste and warmth to a virtual stranger which led to friendship and admiration spanning the 50+ years since.
My thoughts are with you all as well as all the family.

Wayne and family. We were sorry to learn of Karen’s passing. She was a special person. We knew her because of her involvement with theatre. She could take on any role and bring joy and energy to lift spirits of all who worked with her as well as to the audience. She was a huge part of the community and a wonderful hostess for many drama group meetings.

I did not know Karen, but our paths often crossed. I was more an observer of her than a friend. She always lit up a room with energy and laughter. She was like a garden sprite who flitted from flower to flower to bring it into bloom. Saddened and shocked by news of her untimely death.

Dear Wayne, Trina and Terry and all your family: we are deeply saddened to learn of Karen's so untimely passing. She was such a bright light and friendly spirit in so many people's lives. And we particularly enjoyed her recent contributions as a most honourable member of the Taproom Growlettes. She will be greatly missed by so many folks who valued her vivacious presence everywhere she went. And the home and gardens she created with Wayne are truly worthy of a cover story in Better Homes and Gardens! Deepest condolences. Calvin and Judy

Our heartfelt condolences to Wayne, Kirsty, and all of Karen's loved ones. Karen was a bright spark of joy and an absolutely delightful force of nature. Always smiling, often dancing, occasionally draped in feathers with a trail of glitter following behind, and so very kind and generous to anyone who crossed her path.
We hope you can wrap yourselves in the warmth of your very best memories and find comfort in knowing that your whole community is standing ready to help you shoulder your profound loss.
