Helen Johnson Messinger Obituary

Helen Johnson Messinger passed away March 10, 2026 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Born September 17, 1928, she was the youngest child of Milledge and Edna (Gilliatt) Messinger of Centrelea, Annapolis County. Helen was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Minnie (Ernest Mc Haughton) Walter, and Hattie (Frank Flemming). Helen was a hair dresser, having run her shop in Bridgetown for 30 years. She volunteered and supported her Community, Centrelea, its church and cemetery, as well as her family of friends at Crosskill Court.


Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. At Helens request, a graveside service will be held at 3pm, April 18, 2026 in the Centrelea Cemetery, with Rev. Elizabeth Legassie officiating. Donation in Helen’s memory may be made to the Centrelea United Baptist Church, Centrelea Cemetery or to a charity of choice.
