Jerry Gilbert Bruce Jr. – (aka. Jelly Bean, aka. Odd Job Jerry) of Clementsport, NS passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Sunday evening, January 4, 2026. Born September 11, 1950 at Roseway Hospital in Shelburne, NS to Jean D. (Foote) and Jerry Gilbert Bruce Sr.

Jerry’s happy place was the great outdoors. He enjoyed his work and those he worked with and for. He was a kind and compassionate man, always willing to lend a hand. He was passionate for his God whom he loved with all his heart and is now in His presence.

Jerry has a short stint in the Militia. He worked at CFB Cornwallis, labor department for 20 years. Later he worked at Convergys on the phones, then as a cleaner and later on security. He also worked for Glen’s Parcel Service. Lastly, he started his own business, ODD JOB JERRY, doing odd jobs but mainly lawn care.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Eulalie (Fitzgerald); daughters, Barbie (Duncan) Blackman of Toronto, Ontario, Jessica (John) Clarke of Auburn; son, Daniel (Staci) of Digby; granddaughters, Autymn and Emili Cooke of Toronto, Ont, Lily Bruce of Kingston; twin grandsons, Harper and Maximus Blackman of Toronto, Ont.; sister, Jane Bruce, of Wilmot; step brother, Ralph Taylor of Port Wade; half-sister, Patricia Bruce and half-brother, Gary Bruce both of Halifax; aunt, Joyce Wilson of Clementsport; nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Jerry was predeceased by his mother, Jean Thorborne; father, Jerry Gilbert Bruce Sr.; step fathers, Lawrence Taylor and John (Jack) Thorborne

A service of remembrance will be held in the spring.
