I first got to know Jerry and Eulalie at Smith's Cove Baptist church, then at their lovely rented Bear River home when I taught Eulalie piano. Later when they lived at Cornwallis Park, they both did various jobs for me, always very helpful, kind and cheerful. Whenever I look at my bright blue/purple hydrangea blooming by the highway, I'll think of Jerry. He dug the hole for it with a pickaxe in rocky, dry soil, and it has thrived, giving me much enjoyment each year. A small man but mighty! Deepest sympathy to Eulalie and the family.

Deepest condolences to all the family.
I knew Gerry since we were kids together, as well as a neighbour in later years.
He always seemed to have a positive attitude about almost anything. Gerry has been a valued asset to the community (one of the good guys).
He will be missed.

Jerry was one of the kindest men I have ever met. Over the years he did many small jobs around the house for me in his capacity of OddJob Jerry, as well as lawn maintenance. Always had a friendly wave whenever I saw him working in the park. In addition, I was proud to think of him as a friend who will be missed by so many. My thoughts are with Eulalie and the rest of Jerry’s family.

No obituary can convey the far reaching influence of one man's way of living. I have known Jerry since he was a small boy and we have been neighbours for almost 50 years. During those years we have shared both good and sad times and so many memories. He and Eulalie were a special couple and always there to help and care. Our thoughts, prayers and sympathy go to her, Barbie, Jessica, Daniel now, and in the days to come. Jerry will be missed by many. June, Wendell, Neil Trimper and family.

I'm so sad to learn of Jerry's passing. He was one of the most memorable people I've ever known, with a true heart of gold. Every time I saw him, he had a smile on his face and a warm greeting.
In an age where so much can be ingenuine, Jerry was the model of an honest, sincere, and kind human being. I'm so grateful to have had met him and have had his friendship. My deepest condolences to Eulalie and family.

One of the warmest, kindest people I’ve had the privilege of meeting in my lifetime. I worked with Jerry at Covergys. I often ran into Jerry at the Home Hardware in Annapolis Royal, where I worked. We always had a laugh together, and great respect for each other. I will miss him, but always have good memories. My sincerest condolences to Jerry’s family.
