A. Gail Hatchard Obituary

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Gail Hatchard on December 2, 2025 in Annapolis Royal. Gail passed away peacefully at the ACHC with her family by her side. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a faithful friend. She was loved by all who knew her.

Gail is survived by her husband, Keith, two children, Cindi (Parker) and Timothy, six grandchildren, Tyler, Tristan, Kiersten, Owen, Alexander and Indya, two great-grandchildren, Declan and Alyvia, and her sister, Sandra (John). She is predeceased by her parents, Murray and Maude (Peck), sisters, Janice, Sharron and Sheila, eldest son, Darren, and granddaughter, Kaitlyn.

Gail worked in healthcare for 35 years in Annapolis Royal. Known for her quick wit and cheeky sense of humour, Gail always had a smile on her face and a joke or story to share. She enjoyed a good practical joke and kind hearted teasing.

Gail was a woman of many talents. She could knit, crochet, sew and quilt. She could sing and write songs. She could paint. She cooked and baked like nobody’s business. If she found something she didn’t know how to do, she would learn.

Gail’s shoes are surely too big to fill and though she will live on in our hearts, she will be forever missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntington Society of Canada or the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada.

A visitation will be held 7-9pm Tuesday December 16, from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday December 17, 2025 from St. Lukes Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal with Rev. Jordan Draper officiating.  Following the service a reception will be held at the the Annapolis Royal Fire Department, everyone is welcome.
