Gail Betty Morrison Obituary

Gail Betty Teresa Morrison went out with a bang on November 24th doing what she did best: helping her fellow man.

Born on Dec 21st, 1959 to Francis (Saulnier) and Ernest Doty, she is survived by her sister Silvana (Rob), brother Arnold (Marilyn), children Maria (Josh), Leander (Cassondra), grandchildren Colten, Avery and Delilah as well as an enormous group of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Those who knew Gail knew her to be a legend with a storied life marked by kindness. An LPN and EKG technician by trade Gail held many jobs before settling into healthcare: Fisher, bootlegger, maid, and taxi driver, Gail never shied from a job or an adventure. Her laugh was infectious, and her contributions to the community stretch across decades. Her achievements include (but are not limited to) writing a hit country song, the honour of being invited to sing for Queen Elizabeth the II and making several appearances in soon to be aired Trailer Park Boy projects.

She is pre deceased by husband Bruce Morrison and stepson Daniel Mullen.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Annapolis Legion at 1pm Saturday November 29, 2025. Drop in until 4pm with a story or a song to honour this amazing woman. There will be a brief Irish wake at the Annapolis Brewing taproom at 4pm until 5pm to raise a glass to a life well lived. All are welcome.
