Doris Lavonne Halliday Obituary

Halliday, Doris Lavonne – 104, formerly of Hillsburn, passed away November 9, 2025, in Annapolis Royal Nursing Home.  Born March 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Jenny (Bent) Condon.


Doris was a great cook who loved to provide her family with homecooked meals. She loved to spend her time inside looking after her home. Doris welcomed many friends into her home with her special gift of hospitality.  She always had a bowl of candy on her table and her grandkids loved to hear her say “Take a handful”.


Doris is survived by her son, Gary (Linda) Halliday, Lansdown; daughter, Sharon Everett, Hillsburn; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.


Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leigh; daughter, Lois Turner; son-in-law, Sherman Turner, Lawrence Everett; grandson, Dana Halliday; great great, great granddaughter, Madelyn Penny; sisters, Edna, Leona, Glenda; brothers, Roland, Cecil, Chester.


A visitation will be held 7-9pm Friday, November 14 with a funeral service being held 11am Saturday, November 15, 2025 both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Reception to follow. Burial will take place in the Hillsburn Cemetery. Donations in Doris memory may be made to Hillsburn Cemetery or to the Annapolis Community Health Centre.
