Irene ‘Auntie’ Potter, Aged 102, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, Canada. Born in an Earlier Century and living through more than a hundred years of change and progress, Irene dedicated much of her life to helping other through her work as an X-ray technician. She spent the majority of her career in Lynn, Massachusetts, where she contributed to the well-being of countless patients with professionalism and care. Known affectionately as “Auntie”, Irene held a special place in the hearts of those around her. Her long life was marked by enduring connections with family and friends who cherished her presence and wisdom. She is lovingly remembered by her niece, Janie Barkhouse (Alan), her nephew, James Carmen Inglis (Loretta), and many great-nieces and great nephews. Irene was predeceased by her sister, Marion Louise Inglis. The family extents heartfelt gratitude to Tammy and Frank Havanga for their exceptional care and companionship over the past 14 years. Their dedication brought comfort and dignity to Irene’s later years. May her memory bring peace and inspiration to all who know her. A graveside service will be held on August 22, 2025 from 11:00am to 11:45am at Clementsvale Cemetery.
